The Holiday Season begins with the official Tree Lighting and Santa’s arrival, and continues throughout December. The Hamilton Business Alliance created A Storybook Holiday and partners with the PCD to provide free activities in quaint downtown Hamilton with the hope people will shop locally as they celebrate the Holidays.

Bells and whistles ring in Santa’s arrival as hundreds of children anticipate their chance to sit on his lap. Elves and Mrs. Clause greet the children and escort them to see Santa in a magical Santa's Workshop at the North Pole. Afterwards Santa, with the help of a few friends, pulls the switch to light the Holiday Tree. Magical sounds fill the evening as carolers sing, children laugh, families sip hot chocolate and horses pull a trolley sleigh. More activities are nestled around the Village at various merchants; a chili feast to benefit a local charity, holiday crafts and storytelling.

Holiday excitement mounts as merchants decorate their storefronts with a special storybook theme. Activities throughout the month include live holiday entertainment, holiday movies, holiday storybook readings, the children’s holiday cookie decorating party, horse-drawn carriage rides and strolling storybook characters greeting visitors.
